Cover Crop Mixes

Legume mix

​The legume cover crop mix includes multiple varieties of clover.  If planted by October 10th with rain and/or irrigation by November 1st, bloom will begin in March or April.

Brassica mix

The Brassica cover crop mix includes canola, white mustard, yellow mustard and daikon radish.  If planted by October 10th with rain and/or irrigation before November 1st, bloom should begin by February 1st. If bloom timing is flexible, planting may occur as late as November 10th.  Canola will bloom first.

Soil Builder mix

The soil builder mix is a combination of brassicas, legumes, and grains including triticale, bell beans, peas, canola, yellow mustard, and daikon radish.   If planted by October 10th with rain and/or irrigation before November 1st, bloom should begin by February 1st. If bloom timing is flexible, planting may occur as late as November 10th.  Canola will bloom first.
